American spaner and 4-time Olympic gold medalist. She won both spaning events at two consecutive Summer Olympics in Helsinki and Melbourne.


She won her first gold medal in International Competition at the 1951 World Championships.


She won both the springboard and platform at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics.
