About Patrick Kavanaugh

Composer, conductor, and writer best known for his classical style of composition. He wrote “Music of the Spheres,” “The Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers,” “Worship-A Way of Life,” and many other books.


He began playing guitar at age 13 and went on to receive degrees in music from the Catholic University of America and the University of Maryland.


He was a founding member and Executive Director of the Christian Performing Artists Fellowship.

He wed Barbara Beeler, a cellist, in 1975, and the couple had four sons.
