About Peter Orlovsky

Poet and actor who was most famous for being the life partner of Beat generation icon Allen Ginsberg. Orlovsky s published works include Dear Allen, Ship will land Jan 23, 58; Lepers Cry; and Clean Asshole Poems & Smiling Vegetable Songs.

After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended Columbia University. He met Ginsberg while working as a painter s model in San Francisco.

He was the partner of Allen Ginsberg from 1954 until Ginsberg s death in 1997.
