About Rajesh Roshan
Hindi cinema film composer. He was best known for “Kunwara Baap” in 1974, “Julie” in 1975, and “Daag: The Fire” in 1999.
Rajesh Roshan
He made his film composing debut in 1974 with “Kunwara Baap” after famed director Mehmood gave him the opportunity. He followed this with three other films, “Des Pardes,” “Man Pasand,” and “Lootmaar,” all for director Dev Anand.
Knowledge Base
He won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director in 1975 for “Julie” and also gained recognition for being the first music director to successfully convince Amitabh Bachchan to sing onscreen.
His older brother Rakesh Roshan also became a director and actor. His father was the prominent composer Roshan.
He and Bappi Lahiri both won Filmfare Awards for Best Music Director.
