About Samir Khullar

Internationally known, award-winning comedian who created the first successful bilingual comedy show You re Gonna Rire as well as En francais svp. He won the Gala des Olivier s Olivier de l annee in 2013 and 2014.

He got his big break during the 2004 Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, which he has now performed at regularly.

He was born Samir Khullar in Montreal, Quebec, but is known by his stage name Sugar Sammy. He saw Eddie Murphy s comedy special Delirious in 1983 and has wanted to be a comedian ever since.

He opened for comedian Dave Chappelle at Toronto s Massey Hall in 2006.
