About Jocko Willink
Former US Navy Seal who earned the Silver Star for his work as commander of Seal Team 3’s Task Unit Bruiser during the Iraq War’s Battle of Ramadi in 2006. In 2015, he began The Jocko Podcast, which has brought him notoriety for his candid discussions on war, leadership, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Early Life Experience of Jocko Willink
He enlisted in the US Navy in 1990. He later was commissioned a lieutenant via Officer Candidate School.
He published his first book Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy Seals Lead and Win in 2015, and saw it become a New York Times best-seller. He owns Victory MMA and Fitness, where he has trained several professional fighters.
Family Life and Relationship
He shares three children with his wife Helen.
In 2015, he appeared on Timothy Ferriss’s The Tim Ferriss Show podcast to promote his book, which later proved to be a launching ground for his podcast.
