Small forward for the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, and New Jersey Nets who scored over 14,000 points in his twelve-year NBA career.

Early Life of Purvis Short

He played college basketball at Jackson State University, earning Southwestern Athletic Conference Men s Basketball Player of the Year honors in 1977 and 1978.

After his NBA career, he spent one season playing for Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel before retiring.
