About Rafael Rozendaal

Multimedia artist who is best known for his moving images and websites. He is also the founder of BYOB or Bring Your Own Beamer, which is a concept art piece that recreates in a physical space the reflection of the internet. 


After selling several of his paintings at a young age, he began printmaking as a way of providing copies instead of an original, leading to his interest in the Internet later on. He attended the Art Academy in Maastricht, The Netherlands, and graduated in 2002.


He is one of the first artists to sell websites as art objects. His websites are sold to art collectors, who then own the domain name of that work.
