Famous for 1970s and early 1980s country hits such as “Lonely Street,” “Two Less Lonely People,” and “Drink It Down, Lady,” this popular singer later became known for his appearances on The Nashville Network s Statler Brothers variety show.


He released Another Goodbye Song, his first album on the Warner Brothers label, in 1973. The album peaked at #45 on the United States Country Music Chart.


“Cup of Tea,” his 1990 duet with fellow singer Margo Smith, reached #12 on the U.S. Country Chart.
