About Robert Newhouse

Former NFL fullback who played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1972 to 1983, winning Super Bowl XII with the team in 1978. He was previously a phenom at the University of Houston, setting school records for rushing yards in a season and most consecutive 100-yard games.

Despite many impressive performances, the University of Houston was the only Division I team which offered him a scholarship out of Galilee High School.

He was nicknamed “The Human Bowling Ball” due to his unusual leg strength, with thighs measuring 44 inches in circumference.
