About Sam Foltz

Nebraska Cornhuskers punter who was named to the 2016 pre-season Ray Guy Award watch-list for the nation s best punter. On July 23, 2016, he was involved in a car crash, and passed away soon after due to his injuries prior to what would have been his senior season.

Early Life of Sam Foltz

He joined the University of Nebraska s football team as a walk-on in 2012. He was originally a wide receiver before converting to punter during his red-shirted 2012 freshman season.

He earned a number of accolades following his 2015 junior season, including Big Ten Punter of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten honors. He earned his degree in agronomy in May 2016.
