About Scott Van Pelt
Sportscaster who is best known for his time with ESPN. He began anchoring their flagship program SportsCenter in 2001, and has since hosted various time slots of the show. He has also hosted a variety of radio shows for ESPN Radio, and served as a top golf correspondent for the network.
He attended the University of Maryland, and graduated with a degree in radio/TV and film. He was also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He then began his hosting career in 1990, and eventually moved to the Golf Channel, where he anchored between 1994 and 2000.
Between 2012 and 2015, he co-hosted his own radio show, SVP & Russillo. He subsequently left the show in 2015 when ESPN announced his promotion to solo anchoring a midnight edition of SportsCenter.

He was born in Brookeville, Maryland, and raised there by his parents Linda and Gary. He has three brothers, named Mark, Matt, and Mike. He married Stephanie Van Pelt in 2011 and they had two children together.
