About Sharon Shannon

Traditional Irish musician who is known for her work with the accordion and fiddle. Her 1991 debut studio album was one of the best selling traditional Irish music albums of all time. 


She began her career as a recording artist in the late 1980 s and she joined a band called The Waterboys. 


She was honored with the lifetime achievement award at the Meteor Awards in 2009.
