About Spencer West

Motivational speaker for Me to We, an innovative social enterprise, as well as author and leadership facilitator who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro without the aid of legs. He wrote the book Standing Tall: My Journey.


He was born with sacral agenesis, a rare genetic spinal disorder, that required the amputation of his legs at the age of five. He previously worked as a client operations director for a salon and spa in Phoenix, Arizona.


His trek up Kilimanjaro raised more than half a million dollars for Free the Children s sustainable water initiative in Kenya.

He was born at Memorial Hospital in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He earned an undergraduate degree in Communications from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. He later moved to Toronto.
