Early Life of Stan Chambers

Early in his career, he provided television s first ever live coverage of an unfolding news story, reporting on the attempted rescue of a young girl named Kathy Fiscus from a Southern California well.

Among the news stories that he covered were the Watts Riots of 1965, the Northridge Earthquake of 1994, and the 1969 Manson Family murders at the Los Angeles home of actress Sharon Tate.

After his first wife, Beverly, passed away in the late 1980s, he married GiGi Chambers. He had eleven children and nearly forty grandchildren.
