About Steve Peers

British academic and professor who is known for his specialized studies on the European Union. He serves as a professor at the University of Essex within their School of Law and has also written and published several books on the subject of the European Union. 


He graduated from McMaster University where he earned his bachelor s degree in history. He then went on to earn his LLB from Western Law School at the University of Western Ontario. He published his first academic book on the European Union in 2000. 


He is known for having written commentaries for several different institutions and organizations including The UK in a Changing Europe which was a think tank funded by the Economic and Social Research Council based at King s College in London.
