Actress who was widely known in the 1950s for her role as Calpurnia in the sketch “Rinse the Blood Off My Toga” for Wayne & Shuster s television comedy troupe.

Early Life of Sylvia Lennick

She was a member of the Theatre of Action in Toronto during World War II and met her future husband, Ben Lennick, who was also a member and with whom she would create and produce many theater productions.

She and her husband, Ben, founded the Canadian actor s performing union (ACTRA), which had 22,000 members as of 2013.

Family Life

She was married to actor Ben Lennick from 1943 until his death in 1996. They had three children: Michael, a t.v. producer, Julie, an actress and David, a radio disc jockey.
