About Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir

Lead singer, guitarist, and frontwoman for the Icelandic indie folk band Of Monsters and Men, the group that broke out with the single “Little Talks.”


She was performing solo under the name Songbird, recruiting her friend Brynjar to help on guitar, followed up by adding Raggi on glockenspiel, and then three more members.


She credited Raggi with coming up with their group s name, which she said serves as a good description of their song themes.
