About Tim Parks

Famous for his Booker Prize-nominated novels Europa (1997) and Judge Savage (2003), he is also known for his nonfiction publications, as well as for his translations of the work of Alberto Moravia, Italo Calvino, and other notable Italian authors.


His debut literary work, Tongues of Flame, was published in 1985 and received the 1986 Betty Trask Award.


His nonfiction works include A Season with Verona (about an Italian professional soccer team) and Teach Us to Sit Still: A Skeptic s Search for Health and Healing.
