About Tommy Cassidy

From 1970 to 1980, this Northern Irish midfielder played for the Newcastle United F.C., scoring a total of twenty-two goals. During the early 1980s, he went on to play for both Burnley and the APOEL FC. In addition, while playing for Northern Ireland s national football team, he received twenty-four caps and played in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.


In the late 1960s, he began his career with the Glentoran Football Club.


After retiring as a soccer player, he managed several teams, including the Blyth Spartans, Sligo Rovers, and Ards F.C.
