About Vincenzo Muccioli

Founder of an Italian drug rehabilitation community in San Patrignano, Italy. Though embraced by some oblivious outsiders at the time, his rehab facility s tactics were subject to much criticism by former addicts and humanitarians over the years. During his prime, he was compared to the likes of a Cult leader or a Mob boss. 


He created the San Patrignano Community Center in 1978, after noticing so many heroine addicts in the area. 


In 2021, Netflix created a documentary named “SanPa: Sins of the Savior” which is based on the stories and conditions of his infamous rehabilitation center. He was charged in multiple cases however, he was charged for murder only once for the death of Roberto Maranzano in 1995.

He was married to Maria Muccioli. Together they ran the rehab center.
