About Walter B. Gibson
An American writer and career magician, he wrote close to three hundred pulp fiction stories featuring a popular character known as “The Shadow.” Under the pseudonym of Andy Adams, he also wrote several “Biff Brewster” young adult novels.
When he was seven, he created a puzzle that was published in the prestigious American Heritage magazine. After graduating from Colgate University in 1920, he began writing crossword puzzles for several newspapers.
He published works on the subjects of paranormal phenomena, true crime, and magic.
