About Minoru Niizuma
Japanese abstract sculptor who worked in marble, granite, and other stones. His designs were geometric, organic, and occasionally folk-art inspired.
He was an instructor at the Brooklyn Museum Art School and then was adjunct professor at Columbia University.
His piece The Wave s Voice is perhaps his most famous.
