About Sofie Gråbøl

Actress who has risen to fame for her career in television. She has appeared as Detective Sarah Lund on the Danish series The Killing, and as Freja on the BBC One mini-series Us. 


She studied theology and worked as a book store employee. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, and has since gone into remission.


She was given the prestigious Nordic Language Prize in 2018. She appeared as Sofie in the 2018 thriller film X&Y.
