About Brad Gobright
Rock climber who rose to fame as a free solo climber, including as the first free ascent climber on Yosemite s El Capitan Heart Route in 2015. He would later make the second ever free ascent of El Niño on El Capitan in June 2019 before later falling to his death in November 2019.
He began climbing at age 6. He later dropped out of college to climb for the majority of the year.
He set the then-record for speed free climb of The Nose on Yosemite s El Capitan in 2017. He appeared in the 2019 documentary The Nose Speed Record.
