About John Baldwin
American national champion figure skater also won the gold medal at the Four Continents Championships in 2006.
He was a veteran singles skater, competing in major national championships from 1987 to 2000, before teaming up with the Japanese skater Rena Inoue.
He and Inoe placed in the top ten in their earliest major events, and in 2004-05 began winning medals in national competition, and competing for the United States in international events.

He was born in Dallas, Texas, his father, John Baldwin Sr. a singles skater in the 1960s, later became the coach to John and his brother Don.
