Important figure in jazz and musical theater who was internationally acclaimed as an educator, composer, conductor, arranger, and recording artist.


He founded the original Kym Purling Trio while still living in Australia, receiving great acclaim for their albums and collaborations with the country s top jazz artists.


He toured with such Broadway shows as Footloose, 42nd Street, and Miss Saigon for five years.
