An industrial designer and head of Germany s Braun corporation who developed his influential ten principles of good design.


He began studying at Wiesbaden School of Art, and earned practical experience as an apprentice carpenter, before joining Braun.


His mantra of simple, functional, and unobtrusive design was taken to heart especially by apple, whose lead designer was a disciple of Rams.
