About Gary Karr
Famous for his acclaimed work on the double bass, this classical and jazz musician performed with the London, Chicago, and Montreal Symphony Orchestras; the Jerusalem Sympony; and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.
He trained at both the Juilliard School in New York City and the Aspen Music Festival and School in Colorado.
He taught in the music departments at Indiana University, the North Carolina School of the Arts, Yale University, and the New England Conservatory.
