About Julius Randle

Forward who was selected 7th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. After spending his first four NBA seasons in Los Angeles, he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018. 

Early Life of Julius Randle

He was a McDonald s All-American his senior year at Prestonwood Christian Academy. 

He was named ESPN s #3 overall player for the high school graduating class of 2013. He joined the University of Kentucky in one of the school s top recruiting classes ever and helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA Championship game as a freshman in 2014. 

Family Life

He and his fiancee Kendra Shaw welcomed a son, Kyden, in 2016. They later married in August 2017.

He was recruited by head coach John Calipari to play at Kentucky and spent one season playing under him before declaring for the 2014 NBA Draft.
