About Susannah McCorkle

American jazz singer who was known for her straightforward singing style. She was a survivor of breast cancer and after many years of depression, she committed suicide at the age of 55.


She attended the University of California Berkeley where she studied modern languages before she moved to London in 1972 to pursue a singing career.


Two of her most successful albums were called No More Blues and Sabia, and they were released in the early 1990s.
