About Franz Klammer

Former ski racer who won four consecutive World Cups from 1975 through 1978. He won the gold medal in the downhill event at the 1976 Olympic Games.


He was born in Mooswald and made his World Cup debut at nineteen.


He was named Austrian Sportsman of the Year in 1975, 1976, and 1983.
