About Len Lesser

Best remembered for playing the recurring character of Uncle Leo in the popular situation comedy Seinfeld, this American screen actor also played Sergeant Bellamy in the 1970 Clint Eastwood movie Kelly s Heroes.


After graduating from the City College of New York at age nineteen, he served in the United States Army during World War II.


He guest starred on such television series as Mad About You, The Rockford Files, and Castle.

A native of New York City, he later settled in Burbank, California. His nearly three-decade marriage to Janice Burrell produced two children before ending in spanorce in 1982.
