About Seán Batty

Meteorologist who is widely known for his time working for both STV and the BBC Weather Centre. He worked as a broadcast assistant for BBC between 2004 and 2007, and presented weather to BBC regions. 


He first became interested in meteorology after receiving a BBC weather kit as a present for his personality that year. He earned his undergraduate degree in meteorology from Reading University.


He was nominated for the Scottish BAFTA award for Lloyds TSB Scotland Award for Most Popular Scottish Presenter in 2008. He has become nearly fluent in Gaelic.
