Poet, author, Civil Rights activist, music manager, and spoken word performer. His numerous poetry recordings include John Sinclair with Ed Moss Society Jazz Orchestra: If I Could Be With You and John Sinclair: Beatnik Youth.


He attended the University of Michigan-Flint.


He performed two of his poems — “Monk In Orbit” and “Fat Boy” — to the rock accompaniment of The Black Crowes.
