About Lee Byung-hoon
For his work on the 2010 Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) series Dong Yi, this South Korean director earned a Korea Drama Award. He had previously won Korean Producers & Directors Association and Baeksang Arts awards for his work on, respectively, Hur Jun and Dae Jang Geum.
His career with the MBC network began in the early 1970s. A decade later, he created the popular period drama 500 Years of Joseon.
He was one of the two main directors for the 2012 to 2013 television series The King s Doctor.
