Wing who played for six NBA teams from 1983 to 2000, including seven seasons with the Seattle SuperSonics; received the NBA s Most-Improved Player award in 1987 and won the Three-Point Shootout in 1989.

He played for the University of Tennessee from 1979 to 1983, and was a first-team All American in 1983, before being selected 9th overall in the NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks.
He scored more than 19,000 points in his career and earned an All-Star and All-NBA third team selection in 1989.
