Below-knee amputee who is an extremely accomplished marathon and ultra marathon runner, and has set countless world records.


She was in a motorcycle accident in 1994, and ultimately had to have her left leg amputated.


In 2010 she won an ESPY for top female athlete with a disability, as well as the James E. Sullivan Award for the nation s top amateur athlete.
